Perfection's Impasse

Simona

The first catalyst of Perfection's Impasse, Simona, is an emotionally detached human-behavior enthusiast who struggles with identity. 

She wants to fully understand people and build her own self out of the data she gathers. 

Social norms don't matter to her, so she pushes boundaries (sometimes to the point of causing discomfort to others) and then documents everything in her private diary.

Appearance

Simona doesn't stand out much. Her hair is black, straight, not short, and not long. There are a few bits of it falling over her forehead and the rectangular glasses that frame her dark eyes.

The next thing you might notice is her big Roman nose and the very limited facial expressions. She probably won't even smile at you unless she's trying to be polite or conducting some kind of experiment.

Simona almost never wears bright clothes. She doesn't necessarily have a set personal style, but she does seem to prefer practical outfits that don't need frequent adjusting. This includes a long, black skirt, plain shirts, and thrifted sweaters.

Personality

Simona is a pragmatic person, treating problems as things to solve and efficiency as something to maintain.

She might appear cold and apathetic at first glance, but spend enough time with her and you will eventually spot your name in her notebook along with a detailed description of how you handled a spill of tea when you were stressed.

Simona spends a lot of her energy observing people. She finds human behavior so fascinating that she forgot to study her own self and now collects data about everyone around her like foreign puzzle pieces. Maybe she's planning to reconstruct her identity later. No idea when "later" is, though.
